Musical Theatre is a fantastic and multi-faceted art form! Our goal is to instill a respect for the medium, while continuing to challenge, enrich, and inspire young artists to grow and nurture their talents. Students from our program will enter the professional environment with ease, having gained valuable skills for success, professionalism, an understanding of their craft and the business, and an advanced level of training to cultivate their natural talents.

MAINSTAGE PRODUCTIONS: The musical theatre department season of performances will include three Main stage, fully produced shows per year, each with an average 3 months rehearsal process and at least one full weekend of performances. Rehearsals will be every Friday afternoon and Saturday morning/afternoon, and occasional evenings and Sunday rehearsals as needed for lead characters and Tech week. The majority of these shows are performed offsite at a professional theatre.

NOTE: In addition to MAINSTAGE PRODUCTIONS, musical theatre students will have many chances to showcase their talents in other various performance opportunities, such as: our yearly themed “Recital,” periodic vocal “showcases,” and small scale studio plays.
